A new beacon of community engagement has reemerged in Miami Dade County’s most southern region of South Dade. We are the South Dade Monitor, offering online community news that spans the sectors of Redland, Homestead, and Florida City.
The South Dade Monitor is a news media platform centered around three of the most crucial elements of integrity. Morality, truth, and worthiness. These three essentials play a major role in establishing news credibility within the personal and professional character of society. We will be judged on the relevance and factuality of the news we bring to our communities.
The Monitor embraces neutrality. Whether it is negative or positive, we do not choose what is news. Our job is simply to let you know what is happening in your communities and allow you to decide for yourself what is credible and what is not. However, our integrity and the credibility of our news sources will be of the highest standards. And as a member of your community, we will welcome your scrutiny, and allow your voice to be heard.
The Monitor will focus on international, national, state, county, and local news events that affect the well-being of the southernmost region of Miami Dade County. Primarily the communities of Redland, Homestead, and Florida City. Our news coverage will include community events, economic & commercial development, and political accountability. We are the communication bridge between the government and the community. We are a news source connecting generations.
